Two more people are now in custody related to a robbery at Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals sustained injuries by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, as stated by police.

A 24-year-old man, was arrested in the Lambeth area on suspicion of robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. They both remain in custody, authorities confirmed.

These detentions come after an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the incident, two women were robbed of their luggage after getting out of a car park lift.

A three-year-old girl was one of the those hurt during the incident. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment and have since been discharged.

Officers detained a man in his thirties for suspected robbery and assault near the scene. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.

Police were called at about 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding a number of people hurt by a noxious substance thought to be an irritant spray.

The assault - an event that police said was isolated and not considered terrorism - caused train delays and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park briefly.
